The Toronto guest bed by Birlea is a very handsome bed with its high head board and foot board. The narrow closely set slats are attractive and rather than go straight to the top rails, there is an extra arched wooden piece that makes the slats graduated and it looks very firm and solid. The guest bed stays underneath until guests arrive and then it slides out on castors. If you wish, it can also be raised up to the height of the main bed should you wish to make the beds up as one super king bed for two. The bed is made out of strong Hevea wood also known as the rubber tree. When the sap of the tree has run its course, instead of destroying the tree as used to be done, it is now cut down and fashioned into attractive and long lasting furniture so you now have a new sustainable material.
