Pine Beds

Pine is a fast growing soft wood that is native all over the northern hemisphere. Pine trees are grown in large plantations as they will grow tall quickly and can be grown close together with little competition due to most other plants having a hard time growing up through the acidic pine needles that fall on the ground. As it is able to be grown through sustainable means, it is also a very good material for the green ecological movement. It is an excellent wood for furniture and floors and as it is economical to grow it is also a less expensive wood for furniture. Some pine beds have etching that accentuates the lines of the curved head board and gives a very elegant and artistic flair to the bed.
