Themed Beds for Kids Rooms |
5 Dec |
When preparing for a new baby, mums-to-be say that the most exciting part is finding a theme for the little one’s room. Once a child grows a bit older, the space needs to change to suit the age of the child. From about the age of three, a baby room is no longer exciting for a toddler.
This is the age at which they are discovering new things and their imaginations are growing. The cartoons they watch on television or read in books seem as real to them as the news is to adults.
Decorating a child’s room can be fun for both children and adults. Establishing a theme for a kid’s bedroom is best expressed through a themed bed. For little girls and boys there are a number of different styled beds available. Car-shaped, carriage-shaped, beds in the shape of shells, swan-beds and truck-beds can all be purchased. There is just about any shape and style available that you or your child can imagine.
Little girls like to feel like princesses and boys want to feel like kings, so choosing a luxury bed can be fun. To achieve this look it is not necessary to buy a specific shaped bed. By adding beautiful bedding and many cushions, the luxury effect is created.
The best idea for a themed bed is a high sleeper. These can be found, for example, in the form of a house-shaped bed in which your child sleeps in its ‘upstairs’ or a pirate ship bed where the mattress is found on the ‘upper deck’.
These beds are so practical because the bottom level can be used to install a desk, for more storage of toys, or for more play space.
