Things you should know before buying a new bed

As many of you may know, most of us spend one-third of our lives in bed, everyday we go for sleep for up to 8 hours. Because we spend a lot of time in bed and the bed we spend it in has a lot to do with how comfortable we are during the night and day, buying the right bed would seem to be one of the most important pieces of furniture we should have in the home. Getting a good night’s sleep is essential for a good day ahead and it follows that a bed is a long term investment, and usually this will be with you for about ten years before you should consider replacing this.
General advice is that you should buy the biggest bed that you can fit into the room because you will find that the larger the bed, the more room you and your partner will have to move in the night without disturbing each other. Also the length of the bed is important too, this should be 10-15 cm longer than the tallest sleeper. Of course the size of the bedroom will influence the size of your new bed as you must leave enough space to easily get in and out of the room and to allow for opening windows and cupboards, not forgetting the bedroom door!
