Time for a new bed? |
26 Oct |
It is often the last thing that we consider when looking to improve our home, yes it is that wonderful item that we all like to climb into at the end of the day – the bed! Beds don’t last forever and a bed’s life span can be affected by a number of factors, for instance the quality of this in the first place. The amount of use that a bed gets will determine its life span, the one in the spare room used only a few times a year will outlast the one used every night. Another factor can be our bodies gaining weight and when we age.
When your bed is no longer providing proper support and comfort, this is when you are no longer getting quality sleep and can feel tired, ache and are often irritable. More often than not we are unaware that it is the bed that is causing the problem. Some of the signs that it may be time for a new mattress can be if you are waking up with aches and pains, that gradually disappear as the day progresses and you are now not sleeping as well as you did before, perhaps a year ago. Buying a new bed may not be the cure for all the problems of the world with the resulting stresses and strains, but it certainly should help you get a better night’s sleep, far better than taking a sleeping pill, when you can still wake with aches and pains.
